I am so excited to be starting a new chapter of Simply Family Savings! I have moved to SimplyFamilySavings.com. I am keeping the look the same for now, and our favorite weekly feature will still be available ;-) I hope you will join me. Don’t forget to update your bookmarks!
Ok, I often wonder the same thing myself. But as a quick update to my post here. This is the very sad state of my household in a nut shell:
I have three kids, and they have all been taking turns being sick since Thanksgiving, true story. I have had at least one kid home sick from school everyday since Thanksgiving. We are a living PSA for the flu shot!
In addition to our foster dog we own 2 Labrador retrievers, 3- 80 lb. labs is a whole lot of dog in your house, but they crack me up, because no matter where you look you see a black, brown and yellow tail wagging. Our foster dog is an amazing dog, she is so friendly and easy-going , everyone who meets her loves her, but her health is another issue, she had 2 tumors removed, is being treated for hypothyroidism and incontinence. No worries though, she is absolutely where she needs to be, the rescue I volunteer for is amazing, and is really getting this sweet girl back on her feet, we did have a set back today when her incision popped open (her stitches came out yesterday).
Hubby will be castrating calves this weekend, fortunately I have nothing to do with this!
I like to think I am a smart shopper, however I had an epic fail at Justice for girls online. For the record I hate that store, yes they have 40% off coupons, but that only really brings the price down to regular retail price, and because I have not been shopping the clearance rack throughout the season, I had to make a desperate purchase last night, because according to my daughter she may die if there are no clothes from Justice under the tree on X-mas morning. For the most part I have done well on my other kids gifts🙂
While I am being honest, my stockpile has taken a beating, because my kids have been home sick. I have not done any substantial couponing, and it shows in my stockpile. Either I need more recipes that utilize relish, or focus more energy really going after the deals, unfortunately this may mean shopping at night😦
I am in desperate need of a hair cut, eyebrow wax, good nights sleep and a few cocktails. Despite all the craziness I am excited to get my tree up this weekend, and spend the holidays with my family. I think at least 2/3 of my kids still ‘believe’, my favorite part of the holidays is reliving all the magic of Christmas with the kiddos!
So I have decided to take it easy on myself, and I think by venting on my blog, I may have just wrote my christmas letter, Score !

If there is one word that could be used to sum up my life right now it would be overwhelmed, as a result of multiple illnesses, holiday shopping and get togethers, kids sporting events and deal shopping, my posts have been somewhat random, late and totally missing🙂.
There is SOOO much to be done in a day that it all adds up to an overwhelming amount of things. Things that I want to do, need to do, would like to do, or dream of doing. I know this is not a situation unique to me, that many people struggle with this, especially this time of the year. So I will keep you updated on what is working for me and what is not working, kind of like organization bootcamp, I am hoping blogging about it will keep me accountable and on track.
I do realize that planning is crucial to success, at whatever we do, so I am working on a schedule and some personal time management, so that hopefully I will be a more efficient wife, mother and blogger🙂
